Global oil markets have come under pressure from the war between the US, Israel and Iran, which has affected pricing. Experts say prices may not return to levels previously considered “normal.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the key reasons for the price increase was the disruption of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20% of the world’s oil and gas supplies pass. This caused additional uncertainty in the market and the formation of the so-called “risk premium” that is taken into account in the cost of energy carriers.<\/p>\n

The situation is complicated by rising insurance costs, reduced sea freight, and the need to use longer routes to transport resources, bypassing the Middle East. As a result, the overall cost of oil supplies is increasing.<\/p>\n

Despite a temporary dip below $100 per barrel amid expectations of a peace deal, prices remain higher than before the conflict began. Previously, prices had fluctuated between $70 and $80 per barrel, which was in line with the averages of the past two decades.<\/p>\n

Experts say the problem is not just short-term disruptions, but structural changes in the market. It could spell the end of the era of cheap oil, as damaged production capacity could take years to rebuild.<\/p>\n

Rising oil prices have a complex impact on the economy, including fuel prices, transportation of goods, and agriculture. This is because petrochemicals are used in the production of more than 6,000 everyday goods.<\/p>\n

At the same time, countries are changing their approach to resource management, building reserves in case of crises. This requires additional costs for infrastructure, storage, and insurance, which also affects the final cost of energy carriers.<\/p>\n

Experts note a change in consumer and business behavior: reduced travel, increased use of public transportation, and investments in energy efficiency and alternative energy.<\/p>\n

It is worth adding that world oil prices continued to rise<\/a> amid escalating US rhetoric towards Iran and risks to supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the media reported that the relaxation of US sanctions against Russia expired a few days ago, so restrictions on Russian oil have come into effect again<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the US has eased sanctions for 30 days and allowed the purchase of Russian oil and petroleum products<\/a> that are already being transported by sea. This only concerns raw materials that are on tankers en route.<\/p>\n

As is known, amid the escalation of the conflict over Iran and disruptions to oil supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, Russian budget revenues have increased sharply. According to analysts, additional revenues could reach up to $150 million per day<\/a> .<\/p>\n
