The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council stated that Russia is considering several scenarios for further waging war against Ukraine. Among them are the continuation of hostilities until 2028, freezing the conflict, or expanding the confrontation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, noted that one of the basic scenarios is the continuation of the war for several more years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is one of the scenarios, and the Russians will adjust it based on the spring-summer offensive campaign, which they have actually already launched in the border region of Sumy, where they are pulling part of our forces, and in the border region of Kharkiv,\u201d Kovalenko said.<\/p>\n

According to him, Russia is focusing its main efforts on eastern Ukraine, and is also transferring reserves to the Zaporizhia direction. If this scenario is implemented, the Russian leadership will have to make decisions on mobilization.<\/p>\n

The scenario of freezing the war<\/strong> after the summer offensive campaign is considered separately.<\/p>\n

“That is, they will carry out the summer offensive in any case in the hope of capturing Donbas. After which a freeze is possible if this scenario is chosen,” he explained.<\/p>\n

Another option is to expand the confrontation with the countries of the European Union<\/strong> , in particular through hybrid actions.<\/p>\n

“If Russia sees that there is no reaction from NATO, they can strike at the territory of Germany, at the territory of other European Union countries, where military enterprises are located,” Kovalenko said.<\/p>\n

He added that such a scenario would require additional mobilization from Russia, as existing resources are insufficient.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause Russia will not wage a war on two fronts with mercenaries alone,\u201d Kovalenko noted.<\/p>\n

Also, according to him, further developments depend on the state of the Russian economy, sanctions policy, and the unity of Ukraine’s allies.<\/p>\n
