A man opened fire in Shreveport, Louisiana, killing eight children. Police killed the suspect during a pursuit, and the motive for the crime is currently unknown.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to police spokesman Christopher Bordelon, officers responded to a report of domestic violence around 6 a.m. local time. The crime scene involved two homes located nearby, as well as another on a nearby street.<\/p>\n

“The perpetrator, who was leaving the scene, committed a carjacking right here near the corner of West 79th and Linwood streets, after which Shreveport patrol officers pursued the vehicle,” said Christopher Bordelon.<\/p>\n

The shooting left 10 people injured, 8 of whom died. According to the spokesman, the victims ranged in age from 1 to 14.<\/p>\n

“We believe he was the only person shooting in these locations,” Christopher Bordelon said.<\/p>\n
