In Kyiv, law enforcement officers have uncovered a scheme to illegally legalize foreigners through fictitious employment. The organizer has already been reported for suspicion and faces up to 9 years in prison.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service<\/a> of the National Police.<\/p>\n

Operatives of the Migration Police Department, together with investigators of the Pechersk Police Department of Kyiv, with the support of special forces, established the activities of a criminal group that was engaged in processing documents for foreigners.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the organizer used a controlled fictitious company to systematically obtain work permits for foreigners in Ukraine. The scheme also involved a law firm and other individuals who provided documentary cover.<\/p>\n

Thus, the attackers organized the illegal import of foreigners into the territory of Ukraine. It was established that at least 47 citizens of China and South American countries used their services. The cost of one package of documents was $3,000.<\/p>\n

During the searches, law enforcement officers seized documents, draft notes, mobile phones, computer equipment, money, and other physical evidence.<\/p>\n

Police detained the 33-year-old organizer while receiving the last tranche of 87,000 hryvnias. In total, according to the investigation, he received 147,500 hryvnias from the client.<\/p>\n

He has currently been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of the Pechersk District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv, and the issue of bringing other participants in the scheme to justice is also being resolved.<\/p>\n
