The European Union may soon approve a 90 billion-euro loan to Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> “European Truth.”<\/p>\n

The issue of amending the EU’s long-term budget for 2021-2027 was discussed at a meeting of the EU’s Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper), which will take place on April 22.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is an amendment to the multiannual financial framework that will allow the unblocking of funding for Ukraine.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Cypriot presidency noted that this issue was included on the agenda as one that does not require additional discussion.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Following agreement among EU ambassadors, a written procedure will be initiated for the final approval of the budget amendments.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is expected that a final decision may be made within 24 hours after that.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As previously reported, the European Union and Hungary are continuing negotiations to unblock funding for Ukraine, amounting to 90 billion euros.<\/a> The Hungarian side links its decision to the resumption of Russian oil supplies through the Druzhba pipeline.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on Thursday, March 19, a summit of EU leaders was held in Brussels, where one of the key issues was financial support for Ukraine<\/a>, in particular, the possible unlocking of a 90 billion euro aid package.<\/p>\n
