According to the publication, the Ukrainian side considered unconventional options during the negotiations. Among them is the idea of renaming the part of Donbas that remains under Ukrainian control as “Donnyland” in order to enlist the political support of Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Another option involved creating a semi-autonomous entity in this territory, based on the “Monaco model.” It was a microstate with offshore status to attract investment.<\/p>\n

According to journalists, the concept of the “Monaco model” even appeared in draft agreements.<\/p>\n

It is also noted that Ukrainian negotiators have prepared symbols for “Donnyland”\u2014in particular, a green-and-gold flag and an AI-generated version of the anthem.<\/p>\n
