In Kyiv, police detained a man who, while intoxicated, behaved aggressively on the street and tried to forcibly take a scooter from a minor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As reported<\/a> by the Kyiv police, the incident occurred in the Dniprovskyi district on Serhiy Naboka Street.<\/p>\n

According to law enforcement, a 30-year-old Kyiv resident noticed a parked scooter used by a teenager and decided to take it. Despite the boy’s refusal, the man first tried to cut the chain that was securing the vehicle with a grinder. <\/p>\n

When that attempt failed, he took an axe out of the car and started swinging it right in the street, damaging trees and metal structures. His behavior frightened passersby. <\/p>\n

Officers from Special Purpose Police Regiment No. 2 and an investigative and operational group arrived at the scene. The man was detained. <\/p>\n

He was informed of suspicion of hooliganism (Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for up to five years of restriction of liberty.<\/p>\n
