Social standards will remain unchanged, but bank supervision will be strengthened and a new electronic registry will be launched.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This is reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/novyny.live\/ekonomi\/shcho-zminitsia-u-travni-2026-roku-golovni-finansovi-novovvedennia-v-ukrayini-323261.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;News.LIVE&#8221;<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> The National Bank of Ukraine has introduced new approaches to establishing requirements and restrictions on the activities of banking institutions. The changes provide for the use of a risk-based approach within the framework of the implementation of European Union rules.<\/p>\n<p> The relevant innovations were approved by Resolution of the NBU Board No. 27, which will enter into force on May 1, 2026. The document defines mechanisms for responding to the deterioration of the financial condition of banks and establishes new requirements for their activities.<\/p>\n<p> Among the key innovations:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> the procedure for establishing restrictions on banking activities in the event of a threat to depositors and clients;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> mechanism for making demands on banks based on the results of on-site supervision;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> increased control over the launch of new banking products.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> It is expected that these changes will allow for timely response to risks, increase the stability of the banking system, and strengthen the protection of citizens&#8217; funds.<\/p>\n<p> In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision to create a Unified Register of Qualifications. The corresponding initiative was approved by Resolution No. 1387 &#8220;Some Issues of the Functioning of the Unified Register of Qualifications &#8211; Classifier of Professions&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p> The new electronic register will contain information on professional standards, qualification centers, and accreditation experts.
