In Ukraine, 2 people died and 2 more were injured as a result of the storm, and rescuers are eliminating the consequences in 13 regions. The storm caused massive power outages and significant damage to infrastructure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to rescuers, a tree fell on a quad bike while it was moving in Cherkasy, killing a man. Another man died in Transcarpathia due to a falling tree, and a tree injured a child in Poltava.<\/p>\n

As of the time of the report, 1,121 settlements have lost power. Rescuers have made 176 trips to saw trees and carry out restoration work, 647 rescuers and 150 pieces of equipment have been involved in the elimination of the consequences.<\/p>\n

In Kyiv and Kyiv region,<\/strong> the weather was accompanied by rain, hail and strong winds, which caused trees to fall and power lines to be downed. Traffic was disrupted in the capital due to fallen trees, and in the region, almost 60,000 consumers were left without electricity, and about 80 power lines were damaged.<\/p>\n

In Rivne region,<\/strong> over 10,000 consumers in 24 settlements were left without electricity due to gusts of wind. In Lviv region, 103 settlements were without electricity, of which 21 were completely and 82 partially, and fallen trees and damage to buildings were also recorded.<\/p>\n

In Khmelnytskyi region,<\/strong> strong winds caused massive power outages. In Ivano-Frankivsk region, almost 10,000 consumers in over 40 settlements were left without electricity, and rescuers were working to clear fallen trees.<\/p>\n

In the Odessa region,<\/strong> the bad weather manifested itself in the form of a dust storm with gusty winds, which led to falling trees, damage to power lines and individual buildings. There are also reports of a worsening situation on the roads due to fallen branches.<\/p>\n

In western Ukraine,<\/strong> wind gusts reached 30 meters per second, causing trees and power poles to fall. In particular, 55 settlements in the Lviv region were completely without power, and another 125 were partially without power.<\/p>\n

In the Kharkiv region,<\/strong> weather forecasters are warning of further deterioration of weather conditions with thunderstorms, hail, and wind gusts of up to 28 meters per second, which may cause new emergency power outages.<\/p>\n

“We urge citizens to be extremely careful,” the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said.<\/p>\n
