According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the day, 24 attacks by the invaders have occurred on the front in the Hulyaipil direction towards the settlements of Dobropillya, Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, Charivne, Pryluky, Staroukrainka, Girke, Vozdvizhivka, and Svyatopetrivka. Three attacks are ongoing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, it is worth noting that the information about the transfer of occupation troops from the Hulyaipil direction to the east is not true.<\/p>\n

The occupiers are not “freezing” the south. Despite the assumption that Russia is supposedly “sacrificing” southern directions for the sake of a faster offensive in the Donetsk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not confirm such assessments. No reduction in activity in the south is recorded – on the contrary, the enemy is pulling additional units there and preparing to continue assault operations.<\/p>\n

The spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshyn, noted that intelligence does not confirm the transfer of forces from the south to the east.<\/p>\n

“On the contrary, there is data that the Russians are transferring several units, several divisions here, to the south, and several divisions from training centers, training grounds, which were trained in the temporarily occupied territories. From these units, they are now pulling them here, closer to the front line. And these are signs that they will not reduce the pace of their assault operations,” he said.<\/p>\n

Currently, in the Hulyaipil direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are counterattacking north of Hulyaipil – this is Pryluky, Varvarivka, Oleksandrivka. At the same time, the occupation army is attacking in the area of Primorsk and Stepnohirsk.<\/p>\n

The shortest route is from Stepnohirsk to Zaporizhia, which is why the occupiers are trying to intensify the theater of hostilities and enter the fire zone of Zaporizhia directly using cannon artillery.<\/p>\n

Over the past week, special forces units of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in the Stepnohirsk area have carried out a number of successful countermeasures that prevented further advance of the occupiers in this direction.<\/p>\n

The complex operation to de-occupy and clear Stepnohirsk is being carried out by fighters of the “Artan” special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in cooperation with other units of the Department of Active Operations of the GUR and the Defense Forces.<\/p>\n

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Russian army suffered significant losses in this area: several hundred soldiers, more than two dozen pieces of equipment, including armored vehicles and electronic warfare equipment. Some of the occupiers were captured by Ukrainian fighters during the fighting within the settlement.<\/p>\n

The enemy in this direction is launching counterattacks in small groups of 1 to 10 people under the cover of fog. In addition, the enemy has concentrated elite FPV drones in this area, trying to establish air superiority. However, “thanks to the integrated short-range air defense system and the skill of Ukrainian pilots,” the sky remains behind the Ukrainian Defense Forces.<\/p>\n

The return of the village of Stepnohirsk to the control of the Ukrainian army levels the front line and destroys Russian plans to attack the city of Zaporizhia.<\/p>\n

Currently, the redeployment of units of the 120th Marine Division to the Zaporizhia direction has been recorded – this is the Baltic Fleet and the 40th Separate Marine Brigade – this is the Pacific Fleet. The reserves are being redeployed both from the occupied territories of the Zaporizhia region, this is the Melitopol direction, and from Mariupol. And accordingly, from the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.<\/p>\n

Intensification of hostilities is recorded in the Zaporizhia direction. The enemy is trying to advance west and northwest of Hulyaipol \u2014 along the Verkhnya Tersa – Hulyaipolske line. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, in turn, are counterattacking Zaliznychne Hulyaipolske, Zelene, and Pryluky.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Zaporizhia direction is considered by the occupiers as one of the priorities, as is the Donetsk direction. However, there is also a less priority direction for the Russians – the Oleksandrivsky direction, where there is also a successful counteroffensive by the Defense Forces.<\/p>\n

The very situation at the junction of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions was used as a factor of military-political pressure on the political leadership of Ukraine. This is a threat of creating buffer zones, with the possibility of creating a precedent for the so-called “exchange of territory.”<\/p>\n

Advancement in the Dnipropetrovsk region was to be limited to a maximum depth of 10-15 kilometers, and this was to, in the opinion of the Russians, create the prerequisites for the exchange of temporarily occupied territories of the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions for areas of the Donetsk region that are under the control of the Ukrainian defense forces.<\/p>\n

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the invaders tried to improve their position six times, attacking towards the settlements of Oleksandrivkagrad, Khoroshe, Kalynivske, Sichneve, and Zlagoda.<\/p>\n

Let us remind you that the Russian army has intensified assaults in the Kupyansk direction<\/a> and is trying to advance towards the city from both banks of the Oskil River.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, the situation in the Pokrovsky direction remains tense, especially in the Hryshynye area<\/a> , where Russian troops are trying to gain a foothold and expand their offensive.<\/p>\n
