This is reported on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buergergeld.org\/news\/neue-grundsicherung-100-prozent-kurzung-gilt-schon-jetzt\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the B\u00fcrgergeld<\/a> website.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> For the first refusal of a vacancy, the Jobcenter may cancel 563 euros of basic benefit per month.<\/p>\n<p> The changes will also affect Ukrainians living in Germany.<\/p>\n<p> It is planned to transfer Ukrainian citizens who arrived in Germany before April 2025 and receive social assistance through the Jobcenter to Grundsicherung.<\/p>\n<p> Most of the changes in the reform of the new basic social assistance will come into effect only from July 1, 2026, however, the regulations on sanctions for refusing to work and their minimum term of validity entered into force on April 23.<\/p>\n<p> The key difference between Grundsicherung and Grundsicherung will be the strengthening of sanctions policy.<\/p>\n<p> For the first violation of the employment center&#8217;s requirements, for example, refusal to participate in events or absence without a good reason, payments may be reduced by 30%.<\/p>\n<p> If the beneficiary misses contact with the Jobcenter three times, payments may be stopped completely.<\/p>\n<p> Even stricter is the rule regarding lack of contact: if there is no contact with the employment center for four weeks, not only cash benefits but also housing and heating payments are suspended.<\/p>\n<p> The German government explains the reform as a desire to encourage the unemployed to return to the labor market more quickly and reduce abuse of the social support system.<\/p>\n<p> At the same time, experts emphasize that for recipients of assistance, including foreigners, the importance of regular contact with the Jobcenter, compliance with requirements, and timely notification of any changes in circumstances is increasing.<\/p>\n<p> Among other things <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/nimechchyna-pidtrymuie-ukrainu-v-obmezhenni-vyizdu-cholovikiv-do-yes-merts\/\">, Merz noted that Germany supports Ukraine&#8217;s efforts<\/a> to restrict the travel of men of military age to European Union countries.<\/p>\n<p> Also follow \u201cPryamim\u201d on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pryamiy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/prm_ua\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">X<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/+rtV4dxYu2_cyNjVi\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Telegram<\/a> , and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pryamiy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Germany plans to introduce Grundsicherung, a new social assistance system for the unemployed, from July 1, 2026.
