The government has extended the fuel cashback program until May 31, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Ministry of Economy.<\/p>\n

This decision was made due to the continued high fuel prices and the active use of the program by Ukrainians.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At the same time, the maximum amount of compensation will change from May 1. One user will be able to receive up to 500 hryvnias in cashback per month. The ministry explained that this amount corresponds to the actual accruals for most program participants.<\/p>\n

The program started on March 20, and during this time, more than 2 million Ukrainians have already taken advantage of cashback on fuel.<\/p>\n

According to the Ministry of Economy, 91% of participants are owners of budget-class cars with a small engine capacity.<\/p>\n

Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindrativ noted that most Ukrainians use these funds primarily to pay for utilities and other daily expenses.<\/p>\n

“The program is working: millions of Ukrainians are already receiving cashback and are using it primarily to pay for utilities and other daily expenses,” he said.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to terminate the “National Cashback”.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine used more than 78% of the reserve fund<\/a> intended for emergency situations, directing a significant part to social payments, including the \u201cNational Cashback\u201d program. Political scientist Kateryna Roshuk criticized this approach to public administration on the air of \u201cPryamoy\u201d, emphasizing the inappropriateness of populist programs in the midst of war.<\/p>\n
