In Russia, the fifth oil refinery was shut down in April after attacks by Ukrainian drones.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reuters reports<\/a> this.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The next target was Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez, the seventh largest oil refinery in the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After the drone attack on the Perm region, the enterprise partially stopped work. A fire broke out in the AVT-4 primary processing unit at the plant, which accounts for about 38% of the enterprise’s total capacity.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Due to the emergency shutdown of this unit, related production lines, including reforming and hydrotreating, had to be shut down.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to Reuters, a fire also broke out at Transneft’s Perm linear production and dispatching station.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The fire engulfed a fleet of ten oil tanks with a total capacity of 380,000 cubic meters. This could affect oil supplies to refineries in the European part of Russia and to Western export ports.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Lukoil plant is located more than 1,500 kilometers from Ukraine. In 2025, it produced about 2 million tons of gasoline and more than 5 million tons of diesel fuel.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Earlier in April, the Syzran, Novokuibyshev, Tuapse refineries, and Nizhegorodnaftoorgsintez also stopped after the attacks.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Reuters notes that Ukraine has stepped up attacks on Russia’s oil infrastructure to reduce Moscow’s revenues, which are used to finance the war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It should be noted that on April 28, the Defense Forces struck a number of important facilities of the Russian occupiers<\/a>, including an oil refinery in Tuapse and a radar station in occupied Crimea.<\/p>\n

We remind you that the Security Service of Ukraine reported\u00a0damage to an oil pumping station near the city of Perm<\/a> (Russia), more than 1,500 km from Ukraine’s state border<\/span>.<\/p>\n
