From now on, the amount of compensation will depend on how many days before departure the passenger returns the ticket.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This was reported by the company&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Ukrzaliznytsia\/posts\/pfbid02qi3PHi4znLevLUEt6KmTUwxan5m8ZYG9zcVXD7baA7LCq1uYaxHgeBpkW3aovzsyl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">press service<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> The new rules provide for a progressive refund scale. The closer the train departure date, the more of the ticket price will be withheld.<\/p>\n<p> For passengers who purchase tickets through the &#8220;Army+&#8221; service, no changes are foreseen. Servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine will be refunded 100% of the ticket price in case the train returns to the scheduled departure.<\/p>\n<p> For other categories of passengers, the following compensation system will apply:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> 15-20 days before the flight &#8211; 100% of the cost;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> in 10-14 days \u2014 95-90% of the cost;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> for 5-9 days &#8211; 75% of the cost;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> for 1-4 days &#8211; 50% of the cost;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> less than 24 hours, but no later than 1 hour after departure &#8211; only the cost of the reserved seat will be refunded.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> The company explained that the new model takes into account not only the number of days before departure, but also the actual period during which the ticket was on public sale.<\/p>\n<p> As noted by Ukrzaliznytsia, an adapted refund system will operate for flights for which sales open less than 14 days in advance, in particular to frontline cities.<\/p>\n<p> For example, if ticket sales opened 10 days before the flight:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> 10 days before departure, 95% of the cost will be refunded;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> in 5-9 days \u2014 75%;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> for 1-4 days \u2014 50%;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> less than 24 hours, but no later than 1 hour after departure &#8211; only the cost of the ticket without a reserved seat will be refunded.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> The company said the new rules should encourage passengers to return tickets more quickly after changing plans so that seats become available for public sale sooner.<\/p>\n<p> Ukrzaliznytsia also emphasized that the changes should help in the fight against resellers, for whom returning tickets at the last moment will be unprofitable.<\/p>\n<p> It was previously reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ukrzaliznytsia-zminyt-tsiny-kvytkiv-dlia-chastyny-pasazhyriv-koho-tse-torknetsia\/\">Ukrzaliznytsia is introducing dynamic pricing for premium segment tickets<\/a> after public discussions on the relevant order are completed.
