The Ukrainian Defense Forces are strengthening their defense lines in the Transnistrian direction and are preparing for any development of events due to the presence of the Russian military contingent in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The command emphasized that the border with the Transnistrian region of Moldova remains in focus due to the unstable security situation and the presence of Russian military personnel.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In this direction, the military is increasing engineering fortifications, equipping defense lines, minefields, and developing rolling roads to improve maneuverability and logistics of units.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

During the working trip, the commander of the “West” group of troops, Brigadier General Volodymyr Shvedyuk, checked the readiness of the units, the state of support, the development of fortifications and logistical infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Particular attention was paid to cooperation with local communities, field work safety, minefield control, and national resistance training.<\/p>\n

The OK “Zahid” noted that the military also monitors the safe conduct of seasonal field work by farmers in border areas, where the construction of engineering barriers is underway.<\/p>\n

The main goal of the command is to create an echeloned defense system that will allow for a prompt response to any potential threats.<\/p>\n

In addition, the commander met with representatives of medical institutions in the region to check the readiness of the medical infrastructure to provide assistance to the military if necessary.<\/p>\n

Earlier it was reported that analysts from the Institute for the Study of War announced a slowdown in the pace of the Russian army’s offensive on the front in Ukraine and a reduction in the number of combat clashes<\/a> . Russian troops lost control over 116 square kilometers in a month, and the advance of the occupiers significantly slowed down in most directions.<\/p>\n
