President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has not received any official appeal from Russia regarding the format for the cessation of hostilities, as previously reported on Russian social networks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is stated<\/a> in the head of state’s statement.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to Zelensky, human life has much greater value than celebrating any anniversaries, so Ukraine is declaring a state of silence from 00:00 on the night of May 5 to 6.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The President emphasized that it is realistic to ensure a ceasefire by this time, and Ukraine will act in a similar manner, starting from the indicated moment.<\/p>\n

He also called on the Russian leadership to take concrete steps to end the war, rather than limit itself to statements on the eve of the May 9th parade in Moscow.<\/p>\n

Zelensky added that if the Russian Defense Ministry considers it impossible to hold the parade without the “goodwill” of Ukraine, then it is time for real decisions to end the war.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Russia declared a so-called ceasefire on May 8 and 9, but at the same time threatened to strike the center of Kyiv in the event of attempts to disrupt the parade in Moscow.<\/a><\/p>\n
