On the night of May 5, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of important military and industrial facilities of the Russian army, in particular the VNIIR-Progress plant in Cheboksary and the Kiryshsky oil refinery in the Leningrad region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The VNIIR-Progress plant in Chuvashia produces GNSS receivers and antennas for the GLONASS, GPS, and Galileo satellite systems, as well as adaptive Comet antenna arrays.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It is these components that the Russian military uses in Shahed-type kamikaze drones, cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as in gliding and correction modules for aerial bombs.<\/p>\n

The General Staff emphasized that it is with these high-precision weapons that Russia regularly strikes the territory of Ukraine, in particular, civilian infrastructure.<\/p>\n

In addition, Ukrainian military personnel struck the infrastructure of the Kiryshsky oil refinery in the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation. After the attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.<\/p>\n

Both enterprises are involved in supplying the Russian occupation army.<\/p>\n

Also, over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a field depot of fuels and lubricants in the Vedmizhye area in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.<\/p>\n

In addition, a command and observation post in the Smile area, the Kasta radar station near Yelyseivka in the Zaporizhia region, as well as a material and technical equipment warehouse near Donetsk were hit.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Defense Forces, struck oil refining infrastructure in the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation.<\/a><\/p>\n
