{"id":1390462,"date":"2026-05-06T12:26:25","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T09:26:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ukrainians-called-corruption-a-bigger-threat-than-war-poll\/"},"modified":"2026-05-06T12:26:25","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T09:26:25","slug":"ukrainians-called-corruption-a-bigger-threat-than-war-poll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/ukrainians-called-corruption-a-bigger-threat-than-war-poll\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukrainians called corruption a bigger threat than war \u2014 poll"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ukrainians more often consider corruption a more serious threat to the country than Russian aggression \u2014 if we talk about a direct choice between these two problems.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kiis.com.ua\/?lang=ukr&#038;cat=reports&#038;id=1611&#038;page=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">is evidenced by<\/a> the survey data of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).<\/p>\n<p> Sociologists note that when people were asked to name the main challenges without prompts, most of the answers concerned war. \u201c65% of respondents named war as one of the main challenges, while 29% mentioned corruption,\u201d the study says.<\/p>\n<p> However, the situation changes when people are offered a choice between two options \u2014 war and corruption. In this case, 54% of respondents named corruption in power as the greater threat.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Russian military aggression was chosen as a greater threat than corruption by 39% of respondents,&#8221; KIIS reported.
