Poland plans to build a highway from the Korczewaja-Krakiwiec border crossing to Lviv. The Polish government will finance the construction of the M10 highway, which is approximately 80 km long.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Polish media reported<\/a> this. The Polish side will charge a toll for using this road. The toll amount is not yet known. Polish construction companies will be responsible for the investment.<\/p>\n

The Polish side wants to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine. The Industrial Development Agency (IDA) will likely coordinate this process.<\/p>\n

“Our goal is to rebuild Ukraine by creating a logistics infrastructure that will open doors for Polish companies not only in the East but also throughout the Middle East. The ARP’s plan is to integrate these projects as closely as possible in this region, which is key to the Polish economy,” comments ARP President Bart\u0142omiej Babushko.<\/p>\n

Experts predict that the agreement between Poland and Ukraine will be signed at the “Restoration of Ukraine” conference, which will take place on June 25-26 in Gdansk.<\/p>\n

“Appendix No. 1 will contain a list of projects agreed upon with the Ukrainian side, starting with the M10 motorway construction project,” commented Bart\u0142omiej Babushka.<\/p>\n

The M10 will continue the A4 highway, which ends at Korcheva on the border with Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n

Drivers typically have to bypass this area and turn south towards the border crossing at Medika.<\/p>\n

Poland proposed building the highway even before Euro 2012. But at that time, Ukraine lacked sufficient funds for construction. Now that they have them, the Poles are eager to invest in the project.<\/p>\n

According to Wyborcza, the Polish government will provide funding in accordance with its legislation and then appoint an appropriate unit to oversee it. This will make things easier for Polish companies.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Ukraine and Poland previously agreed to launch joint production<\/a> in the defense industry, specifically drones and other weapons.<\/p>\n
