The Southern District Military Court of the Russian Federation in Rostov-on-Don has sentenced Ukrainian prisoner of war Roman Klyukin to 22 years in prison. He was charged with “espionage” and participation in the activities of a “terrorist organization.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by Mediazona with reference to the press service of the Russian court.<\/p>\n

According to the court’s decision, Klyukin must spend the first five years in prison, and the rest of the term in a maximum-security colony.<\/p>\n

The Russian side claims that in the fall of 2024, the Ukrainian allegedly signed a contract with the Crimean Tatar battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan and served as a rifleman-sanitary officer.<\/p>\n

The Russian Federation also claims that in January 2025, Klyukin allegedly collected information about Russian military personnel in the Donetsk region.<\/p>\n

According to Russian security forces, the man was captured on March 7, 2025 in the Kursk region.<\/p>\n

The court’s press service also stated that the Ukrainian allegedly pleaded guilty.<\/p>\n

Recall that in temporarily occupied Tokmak , Russian occupation “courts” sentenced two local residents, accusing them of alleged “high treason” for transferring funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine<\/a> through Ukrainian banking applications.<\/p>\n

As reported, Olga Chernyavska, a resident of temporarily occupied Tokmak, Zaporizhia region, was sentenced to 13 years in prison on charges of “espionage.”<\/a><\/p>\n
