Former intelligence officer, Colonel Roman Chervinsky, who was allowed by the court to return to military service, thanked the leader of the “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko for his support. As reported, the court extended night house arrest, but allowed Chervinsky to serve if there is a written order.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I thank Petro Poroshenko and the entire team of the European Solidarity party for their unquestioning and comprehensive support and belief in justice,” Chervinsky wrote<\/a> on Facebook.<\/p>\n

Petro Poroshenko wrote on his social networks<\/a> after the court’s decision: “Roman is one of the most experienced officers – a man whose work mostly remains in the shadows. But the results speak for themselves. It was thanks to his operations that the leaders of the so-called “DNR” and “LNR” – Givi and Motorola – were eliminated. It was he who led the operation to detain war criminal Volodymyr Tsemakh, who was a key witness in the case of the downing of the civilian Boeing MH-17 over the Donetsk region.”<\/p>\n

“But the authorities decided to make him an accused. First they put him behind bars, and then under house arrest. Because they know best how to persecute those who disagree with them,” he noted.<\/p>\n

“Now he has the opportunity to return to service. And this is the best answer to everything that was invented against him. His experience will definitely be useful to Ukrainian intelligence,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

As is known, in July 2024, Petro Poroshenko posted a bail of 9 million hryvnias<\/a> for former employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate Roman Chervinsky.<\/p>\n

Roman Chervinsky has been under arrest since April 2023. The decision on bail was made by the Kropyvnytskyi Court of Appeal. The SBU has opened a case against Ukrainian military personnel who planned to hijack a Russian plane. One of them is Roman Chervinsky. He also participated in the preparation of a special operation to transport Wagner PMC militants to Ukraine, the implementation of which was thwarted due to a leak of information from the President’s Office.<\/p>\n
