Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree authorizing a parade on Red Square in Moscow on May 9 as part of the announced three-day truce between Ukraine and Russia. For the duration of the parade, the Red Square area will be excluded from the plan for the use of Ukrainian weapons.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Office of the President of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The relevant decree was published on May 8 on the website of the President’s Office. The document states that the decision was made “taking into account numerous requests” and “for a humanitarian purpose” determined during negotiations with the American side.<\/p>\n

“Taking into account numerous requests, for the humanitarian purpose outlined in negotiations with the American side on May 8, 2026, I decide: to allow a parade to be held in Moscow (Russian Federation) on May 9, 2026,” reads the decree of President Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/p>\n

The document also states that for the duration of the parade, which will last from 10:00 Kyiv time on May 9, the territorial square of Red Square will be excluded from the plan for the use of Ukrainian weapons.<\/p>\n
