Some European countries have refused to transfer additional PAC-3 interceptor missiles for Patriot systems to Ukraine, despite a request from the Donald Trump administration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The reason is the allies’ fears that the transfer of ammunition from their warehouses could significantly weaken their own air defenses.<\/p>\n

According to the publication, Ukraine has almost completely exhausted its reserves of the most advanced Patriot missiles. Only a few missiles remain to protect critical facilities.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov called on partners to conduct an audit of their stocks and transfer PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles to Ukraine to form a reserve before the winter period.<\/p>\n

NATO explains that the main supply is currently being provided under the American PURL program.<\/p>\n

The Pentagon confirmed that they are operating within strict legal restrictions on replenishing supplies for Kyiv.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the US assured its allies that the weapons being transferred to Ukraine would not be redirected to American operations in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Despite funding under the PURL program, the current level of assistance remains insufficient for Ukrainian air defense needs.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, the Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech announced the start of development of its own anti-aircraft missile system<\/a> capable of intercepting drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. The development should reduce Ukraine’s dependence on foreign Patriot systems and missiles.<\/p>\n

Recall that since the start of the war against Iran on February 28, the United States<\/span><\/span> has lost almost 50% of its stock of Patriot<\/span><\/span> missiles<\/a> and about 45% of its precision missiles.<\/p>\n
