Last week, Russian oil exports from the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk fell sharply, causing the Kremlin to lose some of the revenue it needed to finance the war.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the seven days to May 10, only one tanker of oil left Novorossiysk, marking the first significant drop in weekly shipments since March.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

On average, exports amounted to 3.64 million barrels per day, while previously this figure was 3.68 million barrels.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

One of the reasons is the threat of drone attacks. Earlier this week, Russian services warned of the danger to Novorossiysk, which could affect the loading of tankers.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In addition, strong winds and difficult weather conditions were forecast in the port area until May 6.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Satellite images showed that the oil berths remained empty for several days, although no direct damage to the terminal was recorded.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Despite rising global oil prices due to the war in the Middle East, reduced exports and additional discounts on Russian Urals oil have led to a drop in Moscow’s profits.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the four weeks to May 10, the gross value of Russian oil exports fell to $2.34 billion per week.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

China remains the largest buyer of Russian oil – about 840,000 barrels were sent there daily.<\/p>\n

Previously, “Pryamiy” reported that on April 28, Ukraine struck<\/a> important facilities – an oil refinery in Tuapse and a radar station in occupied Crimea.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Recall that Russia lost almost half of its oil revenues this year<\/a> . Russian companies paid 494.9 billion rubles. In particular, total oil revenues fell by 43% and amounted to 617 billion rubles.<\/p>\n
