President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Defense Forces of Ukraine and special services to propose possible formats for responding to a massive Russian strike on the territory of Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He announced<\/a> this after the Bet.<\/p>\n

According to the president, Russia used special terrorist tactics, stockpiling drones and missiles for a large-scale attack that lasted almost two days.<\/p>\n

In total, on May 13 and 14, the occupiers used 1,567 drones and 56 missiles of various types.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“I instructed the Defense Forces of Ukraine and special services to propose possible formats for our response to this Russian strike,” Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The President noted that the main challenge remains ballistics and the protection of thousands of rear infrastructure facilities and cities.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He also reported that, together with military commanders, the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Energy, and other officials, he discussed the needs for strengthening the air defense system, including increasing the supply of radars and anti-ballistic systems.<\/p>\n

Zelensky stressed that providing Ukrainian skies with missiles for air defense systems is priority number one.<\/p>\n

Separately, the president drew attention to the consequences of the strikes in Kyiv, where search and rescue operations are still ongoing in a destroyed residential building after the Russian attack.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, May 14, Russian occupation forces carried out a massive combined attack on Kyiv. The enemy struck the capital with drones and missiles, explosions were heard in several areas, fires and destruction occurred<\/a> . One person was killed and at least 16 injured.<\/p>\n

As reported, as a result of the massive Russian attack on Kyiv, the number of injured people has increased to 40 people, including two children<\/a> . Some of the wounded were hospitalized in the capital’s hospitals.<\/p>\n
