Ukraine is working to create its own satellite intelligence group to reduce dependence on foreign partners for intelligence gathering.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> the Financial Times, citing the co-founder and chief designer of Fire Point, Denis Shtilerman.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to him, during the full-scale war, the United States remained the main supplier of intelligence information to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but over the past year, European countries have begun to play an increasingly important role in this.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At the same time, Ukraine is striving for greater autonomy in the field of space intelligence and security, so it has begun creating its own satellite system.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Stillerman said that Fire Point has already launched two satellites this year, but did not specify which country provided them with orbit.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Fire Point, which is known as a manufacturer of drones and missiles, in particular the Flamingo complex, plans to significantly expand its space program.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to him, in 2027 the company intends to launch several dozen more satellites.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It is expected that the deployment of such a satellite group will allow Ukraine to reduce its dependence on the United States and Western technology companies in the field of intelligence collection and analysis.<\/p>\n

The development of its own space capabilities is considered one of the key elements of strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities in the context of a protracted war with Russia. <\/p>\n
