The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published<\/a> operational information as of 10:00 p.m. on May 16, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In total, 195 combat clashes<\/strong> have occurred since the beginning of this day. The defense forces continue to stop the enemy, destroy personnel and exhaust the combat potential of the occupiers, inflicting systematic fire damage.<\/p>\n

The enemy carried out 51 air strikes, dropped 182 guided bombs. In addition, it used 5,768 kamikaze drones to destroy them and carried out 2,226 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops.<\/p>\n

There were 16 clashes in the North Slobozhansk<\/strong> and Kursk<\/strong> directions, the enemy carried out five air strikes, used ten guided bombs, and carried out 80 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, four of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.<\/p>\n

In the South Slobozhansk<\/strong> direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units five times in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Radkivka, Hraniv, Izbitske, and Starytsia. One clash is ongoing.<\/p>\n

In the Kupyansk<\/strong> direction, our defenders stopped two enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Novoosinove and Podol.<\/p>\n

In the Lyman<\/strong> direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled seven attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Stepove, Novyi Mir, Stavky, Drobysheve, Yampil, and Ozerne.<\/p>\n

In the Slavyansk<\/strong> direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled three attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Zakitne and Rai-Oleksandrivka.<\/p>\n

In the Kramatorsk<\/strong> direction, our defenders stopped one enemy attack in the area of the settlement of Nikiforivka.<\/p>\n

The defense forces successfully repelled eleven enemy assaults in the Kostiantynivka<\/strong> direction near Kostiantynivka, Ivano-Frankivka, Illinivka, and Stepanivka.<\/p>\n

In the Pokrovsky<\/strong> direction, the enemy carried out 23 attacks. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Vilne, Kucheriv Yar, Zolotoy Kolodyaz, Nove Shakhove, Bilytske, Hryshyne, Vasylivka, Novomykolaivka, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Boykivka, Serhiivka, and Molodetske.<\/p>\n

According to preliminary estimates, today in this direction 46 occupiers were eliminated and 14 wounded; 11 units of automobiles and 8 units of special enemy equipment, one electronic warfare station and one infantry shelter were destroyed; three units of automobiles, three guns and five unmanned aerial vehicle control points were damaged. 250 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.<\/p>\n

The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Oleksandrivka<\/strong> and Orikhivka<\/strong> directions today.<\/p>\n

In the Hulyaipil<\/strong> direction, seventeen attacks by the occupiers took place in the areas of the settlements of Dobropillya, Verkhnia Tersa, Zlagoda, Hirke, Krynychne, Staroukrainka, Hulyaipilske, and Charivne.<\/p>\n

In the Prydniprovskie<\/strong> direction, our defenders successfully stopped two assault actions in the direction of Antonivka.<\/p>\n

There were no significant changes in the situation in other areas.<\/p>\n
