The US Army is testing a new Bumblebee anti-drone system during African Lion 26 in Morocco to combat FPV drones, which have become one of the main threats to modern warfare after the fighting in Ukraine. The Pentagon believes that cheap strike drones can pose a threat to American military bases, armored vehicles, and logistics centers in various regions of the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The U.S. military fielded the Bumblebee system during the multinational exercise African Lion 26. The exercise is organized by U.S. Africa Command and serves as a platform to test new counter-drone and troop-protection technologies.<\/p>\n

The article notes that Russia’s war against Ukraine has significantly changed approaches to assessing the threat posed by FPV drones. Combat operations have shown that inexpensive drones can destroy armored vehicles, artillery systems, and supply convoys, bypassing traditional defenses.<\/p>\n
