The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published<\/a> operational information as of 8 a.m. on May 18, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In total , 242 combat clashes<\/strong> were recorded over the past 24 hours. Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck seven areas of enemy manpower concentration and one UAV control point.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 112 air strikes, dropping 316 guided bombs. In addition, it used 8,065 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,716 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, including 104 from multiple rocket launchers.<\/p>\n

The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular in the areas of settlements in Sumy region – Vilna Sloboda, Ulanovo.<\/p>\n

In the North-Slobozhansk<\/strong> and Kursk<\/strong> directions over the past day, the aggressor carried out 7 air strikes using 14 anti-aircraft missiles, carried out 95 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements, including six using MLRS. Five enemy assault actions were recorded.<\/p>\n

In the South Slobozhansky<\/strong> direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 13 times in the areas of the settlements of Vovchanski Khutory, Prylipka, Dvorichanske, Starytsia, Veterinarne and in the direction of Izbitsky, Zybyny, Ternova, Okhrimivka, and Kolodyazne.<\/p>\n

In the Kupyansk<\/strong> direction, the enemy attacked twice, towards Petropavlivka and Kupyansk-Vuzlovye.<\/p>\n

In the Lyman<\/strong> direction, the enemy tried to penetrate our defenses eight times, attacking towards the settlements of Lyman, Yampil, Drobysheve, and Zarichne.<\/p>\n

In the Slavyansk<\/strong> direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled three attempts by the invaders to advance towards Rai-Oleksandrivka, Zakitne, and Mykolaivka.<\/p>\n

The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk<\/strong> direction.<\/p>\n

In the Kostyantynivka<\/strong> direction, the enemy carried out 22 attacks, near Kostyantynivka, Ivano-Frankivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Toretsky, Shakhovye, Sofiivka, and in the direction of Vilny, Kucheriv Yar.<\/p>\n

In the Pokrovsky<\/strong> direction, our defenders stopped 32 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Sukhetske, Ivanivka, Novye Shakhove and towards Myrne, Bilytskyi, Serhiivka and Novopavlivka.<\/p>\n

The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Oleksandrivka<\/strong> direction in the past day.<\/p>\n

In the Hulyaipil<\/strong> direction, the invaders carried out 24 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Zlagoda, Varvarivka, Dobropillya, Olenokostyantynivka and towards Novy Zaporizhzhia, Vozdvizhivka, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychny, Hulyaipilsky and Charivny.<\/p>\n

In the Orikhiv<\/strong> direction, our defenders stopped two enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Belogirye and Stepnohirsk.<\/p>\n

In the Dnieper<\/strong> direction, the enemy carried out three attacks towards Antonivka.<\/p>\n

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn<\/strong> and Polissya<\/strong> directions.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian defenders continue the systematic destruction of the enemy, putting up effective resistance on all sections of the front.<\/p>\n

By the way, last day the losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1220 people<\/a> . Also, one tank, five armored combat vehicles, 47 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, two air defense systems, one helicopter, five ground robotic complexes, 1603 unmanned aerial vehicles, 220 units of automobiles and four units of special enemy equipment were neutralized.<\/p>\n
