Italian specialist Andrea Maldera<\/span><\/span> has become the new head coach of the Ukrainian national football team.<\/strong> <\/div>\n

The Ukrainian Football Association<\/span><\/span> reported this.<\/p>\n

Maldera became the first foreigner in history to coach the Ukrainian national team. His candidacy was approved by the UAF Executive Committee upon the recommendation of the National Teams Committee.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The contract with the Italian was signed for two years with the possibility of extension.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The coach worked for a long time at Milan<\/span><\/span> , where he trained youth teams, provided analysis, and served on the first-team staff. Over the years, he collaborated with coaches such as Massimiliano Allegri<\/span><\/span> , Clarence Seedorf<\/span><\/span> , and Filippo Inzaghi<\/span><\/span> .<\/p>\n

From 2016 to 2021, Maldera already worked on the coaching staff of the Ukrainian national team together with Andriy Shevchenko<\/span><\/span> .<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He later joined Roberto De Zerbi’s<\/span><\/span> staff at English club Brighton & Gove Albion<\/span><\/span> , before moving with him to French club Olympique Marseille<\/span><\/span> , where he served as assistant coach.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Serhiy Rebrov left his post<\/a> as head coach of the Ukrainian national team. <\/p>\n
