In Zhitomir, law enforcement officers detained a man who ran down the street with a knife and wounded two passersby.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Patrol Police of Ukraine<\/span><\/span> reported this.<\/p>\n

According to police, patrol officers received a call about a man inflicting bodily harm on people. On their way to the scene, a tactical response team spotted a man running across the road with a knife in his hand.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The police stopped at a safe distance, drew their service weapons, and ordered him to drop the knife. The husband complied, after which he was detained and handcuffed.<\/p>\n

Another crew subsequently located one of the victims. The man had lost a significant amount of blood, so the patrol officers applied a tourniquet and occlusive dressings until paramedics arrived. He was hospitalized.<\/p>\n

There is also information about one more victim who was taken to the hospital by ambulance workers.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officials established that the detainee was wanted for leaving his military unit without permission.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He was informed of suspicion under the articles on attempted murder and attempted criminal offense. <\/p>\n
