On May 17 and overnight into May 18, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against key Russian military targets, hitting a \u201cGrachonok\u201d anti-sabotage boat, UAV control points, communication hubs, and areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. The General Staff said the attacks were aimed at weakening Russia\u2019s combat capabilities and disrupting its battlefield coordination.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In particular, Ukrainian military personnel hit a “Grachonok” project boat in the Kaspiysk region of Dagestan. Such boats are used by Russia to protect ship bases and combat sabotage groups.<\/p>\n

Drone control points in the districts of Rozdolny and Shevchenko in the Donetsk region, Dvorichny in the Kharkiv region, Kamyansky in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Karnatny in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation were also hit.<\/p>\n

Separately, Ukrainian soldiers struck at enemy personnel concentration points in Piddubny, Donetsk region, and Olgyn, Kherson region.<\/p>\n

After clarifying the results, the General Staff confirmed the destruction of a communications node in Mirne in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, a Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system in Zakhidne in the Luhansk region, and a train with fuel and lubricants in Fedorivka in the Donetsk region.<\/p>\n

In addition, after a strike on the Yeisk airfield in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation, a Ka-27 helicopter and a Be-200 naval aviation patrol aircraft were destroyed.<\/p>\n

The airspace control station in Lesnoye, Bryansk Oblast, Russia, was also confirmed to have been damaged.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that a drone attack was recorded in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia. Local residents report explosions and thick smoke.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced strikes on several facilities<\/a> in Moscow and the Moscow region, including a refinery, an oil depot, and a microelectronics production facility.<\/p>\n
