A new fuel crisis is intensifying in Russia – the shortage of AI-95 gasoline is already going beyond stock market reports and is significantly affecting the domestic market.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thiswas reported by<\/a> the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to industry analysts, unmet demand for AI-95 gasoline in the Russian Federation has already exceeded 26 thousand tons.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The reasons were emergency and unscheduled repairs of oil refineries, a decrease in oil refining volumes, and a seasonal increase in demand.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Due to a lack of resources, Russian oil companies are forced to shift production capacity to cheaper AI-92 gasoline, which the Kremlin considers a “socially significant” fuel.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Despite the Russian Ministry of Energy’s claims that the situation is supposedly stable, exchange prices continue to rise. AI-95 currently costs almost 72,000 rubles per ton, and on the over-the-counter market, prices are about 10% higher.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Market participants themselves admit that there is a shortage of fuel, and the supply is significantly limited.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At the same time, large refineries are massively shut down for repairs for at least a month, which prevents the formation of reserves before the summer season.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Because of this, the risk of a large-scale gasoline shortage in the summer is only increasing.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Against this background, Russians are already openly talking about converting cars to gas, as gasoline becomes increasingly expensive and less accessible.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In just one year, gasoline prices in Tatarstan have risen significantly: AI-92 has increased in price by 16.8%, and AI-95 – by 15%.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Recall that Russia is again imposing a ban on gasoline exports from April 1, 2026 due to falling production and rising prices.<\/a> <\/p>\n
