Ukraine<\/span><\/span> has developed its first air-launched glider bomb, dubbed “Vyravnitel,” which can be deployed from various types of combat aircraft. The new weapon is significantly cheaper than its American counterparts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Brave1<\/span><\/span> platform representative explained that the bomb’s development focused on high-precision guidance and compatibility with Ukrainian aircraft and existing weapons systems.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to him, the “Equalizer” can be launched from F-16 Fighting Falcon<\/span><\/span> and Dassault Mirage 2000<\/span><\/span> fighters, although additional certification is still needed for this.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The bomb is equipped with modern guidance algorithms that improve targeting accuracy. It can also be used regardless of weather conditions or time of day, and preparation for use takes less than 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

Brave1 noted that the “Equalizer” is approximately three times cheaper than the American JDAM-ER<\/span><\/span> aerial bomb, which is also in service with Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Ukraine first received JDAM-ERs from the United States in early 2023. In May, Washington also approved the possible sale of additional GBU-62 JDAM-ER precision-guided bombs to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.<\/p>\n
