Before the hearing, he spoke with his lawyer <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Larysa Kryvoruchko<\/span><\/span> . The prosecution was represented by prosecutor <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Olena Danyliv<\/span><\/span> , and the victims <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">by Sofiya Osoba<\/span><\/span> .<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"207\" data-end=\"533\">\t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" >\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/farions-murder-suspect-attempted-to-hang-himself\/\">Farion&#8217;s murder suspect attempted to hang himself.<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"717\">The lawyer began the meeting with remarks to the judges regarding, in her words, illegal actions during the consideration of the motion to hold all court hearings via video conference.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"843\">She noted that the panel of judges granted the motion only partially \u2014 exclusively regarding the meeting on May 20, 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"952\">&#8220;The panel of judges issued a ruling that contradicts itself in its operative part,&#8221; the lawyer emphasized.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"954\" data-end=\"1083\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Larisa Kryvoruchko<\/span><\/span> asked to enter this remark into the court session journal and make a legal decision.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1250\">The judges explained that all comments would be considered after the criminal proceedings were concluded. At the same time, the lawyer stated that this procedure of consideration was illegal.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1490\">She also noted that the court did not clarify other procedural rights of the defense, and asked that this be recorded in the court session log. According to Kryvoruchko, she has not yet been provided with free access to all court session logs.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1aiuvnk\" data-start=\"1492\" data-end=\"1533\"><strong>What is known about the murder of Irina Farion?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1759\">On July 19, an unknown person shot Iryna Farion near her home and fled. The victim was taken to <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">St. Panteleimon Hospital<\/span><\/span> with a gunshot wound to the head. Despite the efforts of doctors, the linguist could not be saved.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1761\" data-end=\"1845\">On July 21, law enforcement officers put a man wanted for involvement in Farion&#8217;s murder.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1847\" data-end=\"1935\">On July 25, an 18-year-old suspect was detained in Dnipro. He turned out to be Vyacheslav Zinchenko.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1937\" data-end=\"2048\">On July 26, the suspect was remanded in custody by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">the Halytskyi District Court of Lviv<\/span><\/span> .<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2050\" data-end=\"2284\">Vyacheslav Zinchenko was charged with intentional murder of a person in connection with the performance of his public duty, motivated by national intolerance, as well as illegal handling of weapons (clauses 8, 14, part 2, article 115, part 1, article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2286\" data-end=\"2321\">He faces life imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2323\" data-end=\"2544\">Previously <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/liudy-unyknuly-vidpovidalnosti-vilno-peresuvaiutsia-pidozriuvanyy-u-vbyvstvi-farion-zghadav-spravu-midas-u-sudi\/\">, &#8221; <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Pryamy&#8221;<\/span><\/span> reported<\/a> that on March 5, a court hearing was held in Lviv in the case of the murder of Iryna Farion, following which Vyacheslav Zinchenko was remanded in custody for another 60 days.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2546\" data-end=\"2756\">He was arrested without bail by the court. The prosecutor emphasized the risks that if the preventive measure were changed, the suspect could flee the court or commit new offenses.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2758\" data-end=\"2923\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Also <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/obvynuvachenyy-u-vbyvstvi-iryny-farion-oholosyv-holoduvannia\/\">on March 24, another hearing in the case was held in the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lviv<\/a> .
