The Russian Ministry of Defense has launched a media campaign to recruit technical students for the war against Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Central Defense Directorate noted that official resources of the Russian defense ministry began publishing videos about young people who allegedly left their studies to serve in unmanned troops.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Russian propaganda romanticizes the service of drone operators, comparing flying a UAV to “bird flight” or video games.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized that such a campaign demonstrates the Kremlin’s true priorities, for which replenishing the army’s losses is more important than training future engineers or programmers.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“The Kremlin regime has finally transferred higher education to a war service mode,” the CPD said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

They also added that Russia views students as a resource for replenishing the army.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Central Military District reminded that recruitment into unmanned forces is actively being conducted not only in the territory of the Russian Federation, but also in higher education institutions in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. <\/p>\n
