Yana Zinkevich, a member of parliament from the European Solidarity faction, a volunteer medic, and the founder of the Hospitallers Medical Volunteer Battalion<\/a> , invited Pope Leo XIV to visit Ukraine during her visit to the Vatican.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Yesterday, I had the honor of being invited to the General Audience of the Holy Father in the Vatican. For me, this is not only an important personal event, but also another opportunity to speak about Ukraine, our struggle, and the price the Ukrainian people pay every day for freedom,” Zinkevich wrote. <\/p>\n

“Before the audience concluded, I had the opportunity to greet the Pope personally. I thanked the Holy Father for his prayers for Ukraine, for his attention to our country, and for his support for peace and an end to the war. I also spoke about the work of the Hospitallers medical battalion, which saves the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians on the front lines every day,” the MP wrote. <\/p>\n

“I specifically invited the Pope to visit Ukraine to see with his own eyes the strength of our people and the consequences of the war our country is experiencing. I sincerely thank you for the invitation and your attention to Ukraine. Today, every international gesture of support means a great deal to Ukrainians,” writes Yana Zinkevich.<\/p>\n
