The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv has imposed preventive measures on officials of regional police units suspected of receiving bribes for “covering” so-called porn offices.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The investigation believes that the defendants in the case received money for not interfering in the activities of offices that distributed explicit content on the Internet.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The court first considered the petition regarding Volodymyr Yatsyuk, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The prosecutor’s office requested that he be held in custody for two months with bail set at 7.5 million hryvnias. The investigation cited the possibility of hiding, influencing witnesses, and destroying evidence as risks.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The defense requested a preventive measure not related to detention, citing Yatsyuk’s health condition.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The court decided to take the official into custody until July 20, 2026, with the alternative of bail of 5 million hryvnias.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The court also chose a preventive measure for the First Deputy Chief of Police of the Ternopil Region, Andriy Tkachyk – two months in custody with a bail of 5 million hryvnias.<\/p>\n

Another defendant – the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk region, Serhiy Bazpalko – was remanded in custody with the possibility of posting bail of 7 million hryvnias.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Separately, the court considered the case of Volodymyr Vorobei, a former driver of the state-owned automobile company “Center for Service of Units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine”.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, he acted as an intermediary and transferred funds to law enforcement officers in exchange for non-interference in the activities of porn offices.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The court took Vorobey into custody for two months with the alternative of bail of 8 million hryvnias.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As a reminder, law enforcement officers have uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme in the National Police, related to the cover-up of so-called “porn offices” in several regions of Ukraine<\/a> . During the searches, over 22 million hryvnias in cash, luxury cars, and weapons were seized from the suspects.<\/p>\n

As reported, in several regions of Ukraine, law enforcement officers are conducting searches<\/a> in the premises of the main departments of the National Police of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
