Russian dictator Vladimir Putin<\/span><\/span> aims to end the war against Ukraine by the end of 2026, but only on terms the Kremlin deems victorious for Russia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the agency’s sources, one of Putin’s key conditions is establishing full control over Ukraine’s Donbas. The Kremlin is also seeking a broader security agreement with Europe that would effectively recognize Russia’s territorial gains.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov<\/span><\/span> denied reports that Putin had set a specific deadline for ending the war.<\/p>\n

As Bloomberg notes, nervousness is growing among the Russian political elite over the protracted war. Some Kremlin officials believe the fighting has reached a stalemate, with no clear strategy for ending it.<\/p>\n
