Tulsi Gabbard has announced her resignation as the US Director of National Intelligence in President Donald Trump’s administration. She said she is leaving the position due to the need to care for her husband, who has been diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is noted that on May 22, Tulsi Gabbard published a statement on the social network X<\/a>, announcing that she would remain director of national intelligence of the United States until June 30. According to her, the reason for her resignation was her husband Abraham’s illness.<\/p>\n

“At this time, I am forced to temporarily step away from public service to be by his side and do my best to support him in this fight,” Tulsi Gabbard said.<\/p>\n

In her address, she also thanked Donald Trump for his trust and the opportunity to lead the American intelligence agency.<\/p>\n

“We have provided unprecedented transparency and restored trust in the intelligence community,” said Tulsi Gabbard.<\/p>\n

Tulsi Gabbard has repeatedly come under fire for her statements about Russia’s war against Ukraine. She has opposed military aid to Kyiv and anti-Russian sanctions and has also stated that a full-scale Russian invasion could have been avoided if the US and NATO had heeded Vladimir Putin’s demands not to expand the alliance.<\/p>\n

In addition, Gabbard spread claims about the alleged existence of American biological laboratories in Ukraine<\/strong>. She was also criticized for spreading pro-Russian narratives and conspiracy theories about the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The US president also confirmed that Tulsi Gabbard’s husband has been diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer.<\/p>\n
