President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees on the implementation of decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on sanctions against Russian military personnel and vessels related to Russian military logistics. The sanctions lists include 127 individuals and 29 civilian merchant vessels.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first package of sanctions included Russian military personnel, whom the Ukrainian side considers to be involved in missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine, in particular on civilian and critical infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Sanctions were imposed against commanders of long-range aviation units of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which used cruise missiles Kh-101, Kh-55, Kh-555, Kh-22, Kh-32 and Kinzhal missiles.<\/p>\n

According to the Ukrainian side, these units were involved in the attacks on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv on July 8, 2024, and a multi-story building in Ternopil on November 19, 2025.<\/p>\n

Restrictions were also imposed against commanders of missile and artillery units of the Russian Land Forces, who, according to Ukraine, carried out more than 1,100 attacks using Iskander-K and Iskander-M missiles.<\/p>\n

The report notes that these strikes were carried out on civilian and critical infrastructure in various regions of Ukraine, in particular the village of Groza in the Kharkiv region, the center of Sumy, and Chernihiv.<\/p>\n

The second package of sanctions included 29 civilian merchant vessels, which, according to Ukrainian authorities, are used to transport weapons, ammunition, military equipment, and personnel of the Russian Ministry of Defense.<\/p>\n

The report states that most of these vessels are already under sanctions by the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Presidential Advisor on Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasyuk stated that sanctions should limit Russia’s ability to wage war.<\/p>\n

“Sanctions are a tool for systematically restricting Russia’s ability to wage war. Today’s package highlights the supply channels for weapons for the Russian army, let’s see which ports will now accept these ships,” said Vladyslav Vlasyuk.<\/p>\n

We will remind you that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed decrees imposing sanctions against 121 Russian commanders and 9 religious figures of the Russian Federation<\/a> involved in the aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Previously, the President of Ukraine imposed sanctions against companies and individuals that supply Russia’s military-industrial complex<\/a> , facilitate the circumvention of sanctions, carry out illegal business activities in the temporarily occupied territories, and participated in the construction of the Kerch Bridge.<\/p>\n
