In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who was robbing damaged apartments in the Podilskyi district after a nighttime rocket attack. The suspect was detained while attempting to commit another theft.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to law enforcement officials, residential buildings were damaged as a result of a nighttime Russian missile strike on Khoryva Lane. The blast wave broke out windows and doors in apartments.<\/p>\n

While residents were in shelters, the man broke into damaged homes and stole the owners’ personal belongings.<\/p>\n

One of the female victims contacted the police to report the theft of property. After that, law enforcement officers located the suspect and detained him in one of the apartments, where he was attempting to commit another theft.<\/p>\n

The detainee was a 29-year-old man who was wanted for committing a property crime in another region.<\/p>\n

Investigators of the Podilskyi Police Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – theft. The sanction of the article provides for up to 8 years of imprisonment. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.<\/p>\n

As is known, on the night of May 24, Russian troops carried out a large-scale combined attack on Ukraine<\/a> , using missiles and kamikaze drones. Kyiv suffered the greatest destruction<\/a> – damage and fires were recorded in all districts of the capital.<\/p>\n

By the way, three garages were damaged as a result of the Russian strike with an Oreshnik missile on Bila Tserkva<\/a> in the Kyiv region.<\/p>\n
