Petro Poroshenko, during a meeting of like-minded people, activists and volunteers of the NGO “Sprava Hromad” said that today’s hellish night has once again proven that the existence of Ukraine without a strong army is impossible. Traditionally, on the anniversary of the organization’s creation, the “Sprava Hromad” team talks about its activities, demonstrates samples of equipment and equipment that are transferred to the front.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Seven years ago, a small circle of like-minded volunteers united to continue helping the army as they have been doing since 2014. Today, everyone knows them. “Sprava Hromad” is a cool, professional and truly friendly team,” Petro Poroshenko emphasized. <\/p>\n

He also recalled that almost immediately after its creation, the volunteers were faced with the Covid-19 pandemic. When hospitals were left without ventilators and doctors without reliable protection, “Sprava Hromad” delivered hundreds of devices and thousands of protective suits to Ukrainian hospitals. <\/p>\n

Poroshenko also described how, in the first weeks of the full-scale invasion, there was an urgent need to search for bulletproof vests, which were in critical shortage at the front.<\/p>\n

“In 2022, when the full-scale invasion began, boys and girls came to me with the idea: “Petro Alekseevich, the fighters don’t have enough body armor. Let’s buy high-quality Finnish steel and make body armor!” In three weeks, we together made and delivered 5,000 body armor to the front. These are thousands of lives saved,” says the fifth President. <\/p>\n

Currently, “Sprava Hromad” is simultaneously implementing dozens of large-scale projects: excavators, washing and shower complexes, command and staff vehicles, mobile tire repair shops, military trucks, and drones. <\/p>\n

In total, the Poroshenko Foundation, together with the “Civic Cause”, transferred drones, equipment, and structures worth over 8 billion hryvnias to the front. 1.2 billion is money collected by volunteers. Another over 7 billion is funds from the Poroshenko family. <\/p>\n

The assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not stop for a day, so today one of the pickup trucks, along with additional equipment, went to the SSO unit from the demonstration site. <\/p>\n

“There are specific people behind each of these projects. Those who organize procurement and logistics. Those who restore equipment. Those who plan new projects. Those who personally bring all this to the forefront. It is truly impossible to list everything that this crazy team has done in seven years,” Poroshenko states. <\/p>\n

“I would like to thank everyone who has donated all these years. Because every hryvnia of yours, I assure you, is the most effective use of money in Ukraine for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And first of all, we thank our soldiers. This is very important, because in the end, our lives and the preservation of Ukraine depend on our military. A low bow to you, we work for you,” Poroshenko concluded.<\/p>\n
