From the very beginning of Russia&#8217;s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Belarus has been contributing to the Russian Federation conducting military operations against our state &#8211; opening its border in 2022, and all this time providing its territory for exercises, training of Russian troops, and joint maneuvers. Therefore, we must be ready for the development of any situations from this direction and, first of all, have strong defensive positions along the entire length of the border with Belarus,&#8221; Demchenko emphasized.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"976\" data-end=\"1114\">According to him, there has currently been no recorded increase in military groups in this direction, which could indicate preparations for an offensive.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1116\" data-end=\"1259\">The spokesman clarified that a certain number of military personnel remains in this direction, but it is not increasing &#8211; it is only a matter of unit rotation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1457\">&#8220;If we talk about strike actions or the buildup of units of the Belarusian army, or about Russia transferring its troops to the territory of Belarus, fortunately, this is not recorded,&#8221; the spokesman for the State Border Service of the Republic of Belarus emphasized.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1459\" data-end=\"1577\">At the same time, he added that Ukraine is constantly monitoring the situation in this direction in order to be ready in case of its escalation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1579\" data-end=\"1852\">Previously, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/na-volyni-zaiavyly-pro-kontrolovanu-sytuatsiiu-na-kordoni-z-bilorussiu\/\">&#8220;Pryamiy&#8221; reported<\/a> that the head of the Kovel District Military Administration, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Olga Cheren,<\/span><\/span> stated that the situation on the border with Belarus within the Volyn region remains calm and controlled, and measures to strengthen defense are continuing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1854\" data-end=\"2110\">It was also <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/rosiia-hotuie-100-tysiach-viyskovykh-dlia-nastupu-z-terytorii-bilorusi-detali\/\">reported that Russia is considering<\/a> several scenarios for new offensive operations in the Chernihiv-Kyiv direction, which may begin no earlier than the fall of 2026.
