China responded to Russia\u2019s latest threats of \u201csystemic strikes\u201d on Kyiv with its usual calls for negotiations, restraint, and de-escalation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This was announced<\/a> by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning during a media briefing.<\/p>\n

“China’s position on the Ukrainian crisis is consistent and clear. We consider dialogue and negotiations to be the only viable way to resolve the conflict,” the diplomat said during a daily briefing.<\/p>\n

Commenting on Russia’s new threats regarding possible strikes on Kyiv, Mao Ning called on “relevant parties” not to escalate hostilities.<\/p>\n

“We call on the relevant parties to make joint efforts to end the escalation as soon as possible and create conditions for the resumption of dialogue and negotiations,” she said.<\/p>\n

At the same time, a representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry did not answer journalists’ questions about whether Beijing plans to evacuate its embassy staff in Kyiv.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the Russian army is allegedly launching “successive systematic strikes” on enterprises of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex in Kyiv<\/a> and “decision-making centers.”<\/p>\n
