Israel has once again intensified hostilities in Lebanon. The country’s army has launched a series of powerful airstrikes and expanded its ground operation in the south of the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the agency’s sources, the Israeli military has advanced beyond the so-called “yellow line” – a buffer zone on the border with Lebanon. However, details about the scale of the offensive or the exact areas of the operation are not yet disclosed.<\/p>\n

Israel carried out at least 120 airstrikes on various targets in Lebanon on Tuesday, effectively jeopardizing a ceasefire that was declared on April 16 to end fighting between the Israeli army and the Hezbollah group.<\/p>\n

The publication also notes that the strikes on Lebanon took place almost simultaneously with the US attack on southern Iran, which Tehran called a violation of another ceasefire agreement.<\/p>\n

The Lebanese Ministry of Health said that at least 31 people were killed and 40 others were injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes.<\/p>\n
