Officials demanded money for &#8220;facilitating&#8221; business and avoiding criminal liability.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1302\"> One of the detainees was a BEB analyst who started working for the agency only in February 2026. The investigation believes that he received a bribe from a Kyiv businessman for help in obtaining a fuel storage license.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1304\" data-end=\"1527\"> Another person involved was a senior detective from the territorial department of the BEB in the Kyiv region. According to law enforcement officers, he demanded money from a participant in criminal proceedings in exchange for not being held accountable.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1529\" data-end=\"1599\"> SBU officers detained both officials while accepting bribes.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1601\" data-end=\"1714\"> They are currently being charged with receiving undue advantage by an official and abuse of influence.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1716\" data-end=\"1858\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"> Law enforcement officers are continuing the investigation and establishing all the circumstances of the case.
