Petro Poroshenko handed over 15 washing and shower complexes to 12 units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. The assistance was provided to the airborne assault, mechanized, airmobile brigades and a battalion of unmanned systems fighting in the hottest areas of the front.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fifth president emphasized that the issue of providing for the military should not be left solely to volunteers and philanthropists. <\/p>\n

“How should the military react when, before their eyes, the authorities take UAH 40 billion from the defense budget and transfer it to the Reserve Fund, from where cashbacks are financed? How to steal money from the budget for populist expenditure items – they are ready for it. When it comes to providing for a soldier – this work should be done by philanthropists and volunteers,” Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n

According to him, the Poroshenko Foundation, together with the Community Cause, have already handed over to the military more than 300 washing and shower complexes with a total value of UAH 300 million.<\/p>\n

Poroshenko emphasized that such assistance is of great importance for the military at the front. <\/p>\n

“For the units of the Armed Forces, this means that they will be provided with hot water, can wash themselves properly, wash their clothes, and feel like people,” he noted.<\/p>\n

The fifth president also stated that the European Solidarity team will continue to push in parliament for increased financial support for the military and greater funding for the brigades.<\/p>\n

“We are not stopping. We continue to work,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

Earlier it was reported that Petro Poroshenko transferred another batch of ATVs, dome electronic warfare equipment, sawmills, and trucks to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, Petro Poroshenko transferred a batch of equipment and drones worth UAH 34 million to 15 brigades and battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n
