According to the investigation, the funds were demanded for the smooth conclusion of the contract and acceptance of the equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This was reported by the NABU <a href=\"https:\/\/nabu.gov.ua\/news\/mil-yion-dolariv-za-bezpereshkodne-postachannia-droniv-dvoye-pidozriuvanykh\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">press service<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> According to the investigation, in August 2025, one of the military units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine initiated the purchase of a batch of unmanned aerial systems. A private company was admitted to the negotiation procedure, which offered to supply the products for 825 million hryvnias.<\/p>\n<p> During the procurement process, the company&#8217;s director was contacted by the owner of another UAV manufacturer. He stated that he had allegedly made prior arrangements with the State Border Guard Service Administration and asked not to reduce the cost of the drones, since his company was to be the winner of the tender.<\/p>\n<p> Despite this, the company&#8217;s director submitted an updated commercial proposal with a reduced price, thanks to which his company won the procurement.<\/p>\n<p> After that, according to the investigation, the owner of the competing company, in collusion with the border guards, began to demand an illegal benefit from the winner of the tender. For the unhindered conclusion of the contract and the subsequent acceptance of the equipment by the officials of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, they demanded $1 million. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LbSvSJBTkHM?si=3dw2rkV4GOesNFji\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p> According to law enforcement officials, these funds were planned to be distributed between the organizer of the scheme and border service officials. To convince the director of the company, a telephone conversation was arranged for him with a representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;All requirements are put forward in agreement with the administration of the department,&#8221; said a representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine during the conversation.<\/p>\n<p> The owner of the competing company and an official of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine have been informed of the suspicion, and the investigation is currently ongoing. Law enforcement officers are establishing the possible involvement of other individuals in the crime.<\/p>\n<p> We will remind that in the Donetsk region, the commander of the material support battalion will be tried, who is accused of <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/narakhuvav-milyony-hryven-boyovykh-za-perebuvannia-v-tylu-na-donechchyni-vykryly-masshtabnu-koruptsiiu-u-viyskoviy-chastyni\/\">illegally calculating payments to military personnel<\/a> .
