The Finnish government has decided to provide Ukraine with a new package of military assistance worth about 128 million euros. This is the 33rd package of defense support that Helsinki has provided to Kyiv since the start of the full-scale war.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Ministry of Defense of Finland.<\/p>\n

The decision to transfer the new aid package was made on May 29 by Finnish President Alexander Stubb, upon the proposal of the country’s government.<\/p>\n

The Finnish Ministry of Defense noted that the cost of the new package is approximately 128 million euros<\/strong> . The total amount of defense assistance that Finland has provided to Ukraine has already reached 3.4 billion euros<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

The new package will include weapons from the Finnish Armed Forces’ reserves, as well as products purchased from the Finnish defense industry. Details of the content of the aid, the delivery schedule, and the method of delivery are not disclosed by the department for operational reasons.<\/p>\n

“Ukraine continues to need the support of its Western allies in its defense struggle. Russia has been waging its criminal war of aggression for the fifth year in a row. Finland is committed to supporting Ukraine for as long as necessary. This also strengthens Finland’s defense industrial base,” said Finnish Defense Minister Antti H\u00e4kkinen.<\/p>\n

By the way, on Sunday, May 25, Finnish President Alexander Stubb announced his readiness to become a representative of the Europeans in potential peace negotiations with Russia.<\/a><\/p>\n
